Home Design and Building Trends for 2023

The end of the year is nearly upon us and we are compiling a list of the most popular home design and building trends for 2023.

A Unique Office Space

Working from home is now such a commonplace practice that design focus is shifting towards the ever popular home office space. A functional area that offers comfort, energetic colors, and zoom-appropriate furnishings is more than likely at the top of your list if you’re building a new home or just renovating

Bring Nature indoors

We are encouraging you to think outside of the box….literally. If a bathroom extension is in your cards for 2023, consider an outdoor shower with weather-resistant tiles and well-situated, curving privacy walls. Looking for a more traditional bathroom renovation? Try adding a rainfall shower head, stone detailing, or an indoor/outdoor shower concept to your current setup.

Kitchen Flair

More than ever we are finding our clients willing to invest in special details such as metal grill inserts on cabinets, brass shelving at bar areas, and millwork detail in their storage systems. Even adding a pop of color can add visual interest and value to your kitchen renovation.

Did we mention we build custom cabinetry?

Upgraded Organization

Organization has become a necessity for homeowners and that workflow is happening in all spaces of the house: in the kitchen, in the laundry room and even in the mudroom. Some examples of designer upgrades we’re loving include increased counter space, more cabinets for storage, and even additional sinks (dog bathing station anyone?)

Back in Black

Black is making a comeback in a monumental way in 2023, and it’s not limited just to paint colors. We love it mixed with dark and light woody tones for a blissful and modern kitchen space - but it doesn’t stop there. Gothic-inspired home furnishings such as curtains, sculptures, and chandeliers are predicted to be widespread.
